Vermeulen Groep is a 50 year old contractor in public infrastructure. It's a family company with a strong history, growing to a company with nearly 200 employees in 2024. With my varied set of skills i was hired as a Marketing and Communications advisor and was in charge of everything marketing and communication related. My main responsiblities were branding, web development, and graphic design, but i also created and executed the marketing plans and strategies. Helping the company reach a B2B market.
Vermeulen Groep is a family company that has been around for 50 years. It has changed and grown throughout the years, growing from a family doing lawn-mowing work to a company with nearly 200 employees. My job was to modernise the brand and help Vermeulen Groep stand out among its competitors, preserving its already unique identity and to revise it for a more digital landscape. This included a complete overhaul of the branding guide, aswell as the creation of many new branded templates, such as presentations, flyers, and other semi-standardised material.
The branding change also called for a complete design of the website. This revision was done individually by me. Originally, Vermeulen Groep used an external party, but they were quickly made obsolete as per my decision. The website was given a fresh look in line with the new branding guides, aswell as an improvement to the hiring section of the website. I also revised much of the text and imagery on the website, improving the SEO rankings while professionalising the website identity.
At Vermeulen Groep I was the "designated graphic designer". I was involved in all things design, from flyers, to presentations, to videos, and even complete magazines. All visual identity of these assets were done by me, keeping in line with the identity of Vermeulen Groep while giving myself enough space to stay creative.
For example, I often took part in the design and content of company magazines.
